aftercare.
The individual instructions provided at your appointment take priority. This is an English translation of the studio’s Polish aftercare guidance.
Skin care
After removing the dressing as instructed, gently wash the skin with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free cleanser. Pat dry with a clean, disposable towel.
Apply Bepanthen Tattoo in a very thin layer twice a day. Do not leave a thick, greasy layer. Use during healing, usually for 10–14 days, depending on the condition of your skin. Wash your hands before applying it. Do not apply ointment underneath a self-adhesive dressing that is still on the skin.
Protect your skin
Do not scratch, rub or pick at flaking skin or scabs. Wear loose, clean clothing that does not rub the treated area.
What to avoid
For the first 72 hours, avoid intense exercise, sweating and overheating; avoid them for longer if your skin is still irritated.
Until the skin has fully healed, avoid swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs, baths and swimming in natural bodies of water. You may take a short, lukewarm shower.
Do not use exfoliants, acids, retinol or perfumed cosmetics. Do not remove hair from or massage the treated area.
Sun protection
Do not tan the treated area or use sunbeds during healing. Protect your skin with clothing. Once healed, apply SPF 50 to the exposed area.
Results and healing
The colour may initially look stronger, then fade and appear uneven. The result is assessed after complete healing, usually after 6–8 weeks.
When to seek advice
Increasing pain, redness, swelling, pus or fever require medical advice — please also let me know. If a rash or increased itching develops after applying the ointment, stop using it.
